  1. First, make sure that the person requesting the password is who they say they are. Do a quick Slack Huddle or have them contact you with the same request on more than 1 channel.

  2. Once verified, open the 1Password 1️⃣ extension in your browser or log into 1Password.com and find the shared item.

  3. Then, select the account you’d like the share

  4. Click the ellipsis in the upper-right

  5. Click “Share” in the drop-down.

Other: Naming Accounts

Because we have a folder for “archived” accounts that still populates when searches are performed, it’s a good idea to come up with a naming system.

When offboarding Adopets clients (guide still under construction), one step will be to rename their 1Password account to “Z_[ShelterName]” to prevent frustration in trying to log into a closed account later on.

  •  Update churned shelters to Z_ShelterName
