How to Process an External Adoption

As of now, customers can process their own cash or external adoptions! <insert link on video guide on how to do that>

In the event that the above doesn’t work, the steps below will all you to Force Set Adopt a pet from the Adopets admin side.

Scenario: May or may not be due to an error, shelter staff choose or need to process an adoption outside of the Adopets system. This might happen even after a contract has been signed through Adopets.

Scenario: Adopter is on site and pays the adoption fee in cash. This process needs to be reflected accurately in the system. (Note: the workflow is the exact same as an adoption outside of Adopets in the above scenario)

Tools to Use: 

Pathway:

  1. Shelter View

    1. log into their account at rescue.adopets.com)

  2. Pet details

  3. Application UID - (Found in the Pet Details URL of an active adoption pet, the string of characters following the URL path)

  4. Admin

    1. Log into your admin account

  5. Search for the transaction by the copied UUID above

  6. Click the settings icon on the right of that adoption

  7. Forced Adopt
