How to Migrate Zendesk Articles into this Folder
There is not a 'built in' way to import the articles from Zen to confluence, there are 70 more articles that need imported. I have made a spreadsheet with the list of articles from Zen. You can copy/paste the photos from Zen into confluence easily. For any pictures, copy/paste works, please include the date in the subtitle of article.
Migrating Zendesk Articles to Confluence
1. Introduction
Purpose: Demonstrate the manual process of transferring *AGENT ONLY* articles from Zendesk to Confluence.
Purpose: Any interlinked articles that contain client facing ZEN articles, will need to also be published and linked correctly from the Hubspot Knowledge Base.
Context: No automated tool available for this task.
2. Preparation
Open the Google Sheet containing the list of agent articles (approximately 70 articles).
Access the Confluence platform where the articles will be uploaded.
Access Zen Agent Login by logging in as Elsa. (Message Elsa for UN/PW)
3. Article Transfer Process
Step 1: Access Original Article
Sign in to Zendesk and open the desired article.
Step 2: Create New Page in Confluence
Navigate to the "Agent Articles" section in Confluence.
Click the "Create" button and select "Page."
Step 3: Copy Article Content
Highlight and copy the title from the Zendesk article.
Paste the title into the new Confluence page.
Step 4: Add Article Body
Copy the main content of the Zendesk article.
Paste the content below the title in Confluence.
Step 5: Include Date
Add the publication date (the time is optional).
Step 6: Publish the Article
Click "Publish" to finalize the upload.
Step 7: Mark Article as Completed
Return to the Google Sheet and mark the article as done.
4. Handling Images
Step 1: Copy Image from Zendesk
For articles with images, right-click on the image and select "Copy."
Step 2: Paste Image in Confluence
Go to the Confluence page, create space below the text, and paste the image.
If Articles are interlinked, and they have regular Help Desk Articles, please visit the Hubspot Knowledge Base and publish the article, and link those articles in the Agent article, instead of the Zen Article.
Step 3: Finalize and Publish
Review the page and click "Publish."
5. Conclusion
Confirm the successful transfer of articles and repeat the process for remaining articles as needed.
