Enable Datamars Petlink

Petlinks is a product of Datamars for its microchips. Originally, there was a custom report (see bottom), but now they have a direct API link. 

To set up the API: 

Set up a normal user and set them as an External API via System ops > Set User Type for User

 

Provide the site with this information for their API login: 

Site url:  https://[ShelterName].shelterbuddy.com/api/v2/
Username: petlink.api 
Password: Use Strong Password Generator

 

Typically, that is all that is required. However, if they would ALSO like to enable a report that customers can run, follow these steps:

  1. Show the report (a developer can only do this step):
    UPDATE dbo.tblReports SET isShown = 1 WHERE ReportId = 662

  2. Set the password via customise options for "PetlinkReportPassword" (provided by Petlink - check with client for password)

  3. Sync the customise options

  4. Run the report to confirm it shows, and the password appears in the password column.

 

IF the report is enabled, Email accounts@shelterbuddy.com: 

Suggested wording: 

Subject: Datamars/Petlink Report for [organisation name]

"Hi,

Can you please invoice Petlink / Datamars to [Petlink Rep Name]
[Petlink Rep Email]

 $350.00 for enabling the Datamars report "Petlink Microchipped Animals Report​" for [organisation name]. 

Thank you!"
