Split Receipt/Contract

Shelter Buddy offers customers a choice between having their receipt include their Contract verbiage or splitting it so the customer can review the contract text separately (via a pop-up link on the Adoption Process page), and the receipt is a separate document. 

If the customer wishes to email receipts directly from Shelter Buddy, the combined Receipt/Contract works best. 

If the customer wants additional documents attached to their adoption print string, it's best ALWAYS to link them to the Receipt unless they specifically want them linked to the Contract (they may have reasons). 

That way, they are automatically included in emailed receipts and visible regardless of whether the customer has a split receipt.

 

To  Set up a Split Receipt:

  1. Go into System Options > Customise Options

  2. Locate the option adoptPreContract

    • This allows the site to print the adoption contract and go through the info instead of having to ask for payment to get to the contract. It always defaults to False.

  3. Click the link adoptPreContract to edit

  4. Click the box to set the New Value to "True"

  5. Click [Save + Sync]

  6. You should return to the Customisations menu

If they have a split receipt and wish to recombine it, follow the same steps as above to set the New Value to "False".
