Organisation Name Changes - How to Change the URL
Things to consider:
Deadline (engineers need enough time to set up what they need to do)
If they have a preferred URL name
Then take the following steps:
Create and prioritise accordingly a ticket where we roll out the changes to support both URLs.
Once this is done schedule a date/time to cut over to just supporting the new URL with a placeholder website for the old URL that will last for a certain time period (suggest one week).
Ensure all tickets detail each step required of it and include the deadline in the heading.
This gives engineers a chance to do the hard and time-consuming work up-front to allow for flexibility to schedule a cutover with the customers, so we can let engineering know when the customer is ready for it.

If their site is authorised for a specific email address or domain name and it references the old name, and that is also changing to the new name, then follow the steps to re-authorise the new emails.
