Create Upgrade Notice in Mailchimp

  1. Open Mailchimp

  2. Click on "All Campaigns".

  3. In the top right, click on "Create Campaign"

  4. Select Email + Regular

  5. Give the campaign a name e.g. "Shelter Buddy Upgrade Month YYYY"

  6. Assign the following: 

    1. To: Click "Edit Recipients" and select either AU or US audience. 

    2. From: This will default - leave this

    3. Subject: enter a subject, such as "Shelter Buddy Upgrade Month YYYY"

    4. Content: Click Edit Design to create content. 

      • Choose Template

      • Make sure the "Scheduled Between" dates and times are correct. 

      • Update the top section to include a brief summary of what's in the upgrade and a screenshot to illustrate. 

      • Box 1: Day to Day Impact - include notes for changes that users will notice immediately

      • Box 2: Enhancements - These are changes that are less obvious: new features or reports, improvements to the way an existing feature works and so on. 

      • Box 3: New Help Center Resources - add any new documents from the Knowledge Base. 

  7. once content added, click Continue

  8. Click Send

TIP: you can send a test email using the "Send a Test Email" link in the Content box under the preview.
