  1. Create a user on the site:


a) User Activ4Pet API
b) username activ4petsapi
c) use https://strongpasswordgenerator.com/  for the password
d) don't assign access groups
e) System options > Set User Type for user
f) From this screen search for the user that you created and then select "external api" and click update.

 

 

  1. Email activ4pets with the user details and the URL of the site with the addition of /api/v2/ at the end, e.g. https://sheltermate.rspcaqld.org.au/api/v2/. Contact is supportau@activ4pets.com). 

Please send activ4pets support the notifications directly to this email when shelters are set up within A4P's Shelter Buddy API.

 

  1. when they are ready to go live (not sooner because it will show the opt-in page for adoptions on their site without warning), go to this page on the site:

 /administration/LookupItems/LookupListItem.aspx?l=152

Then edit the option for Activ4Pets and then tick the checkbox for the option to show.  This will then turn on the option to show the opt in page.

So probably need a customer contract to let them know that they will get the opt-in page and what to expect, and then also when to schedule the go live.
