Setting up New UI for Beta sites

While we're trying to keep the list of Beta sites short, from time to time it becomes necessary to add new sites to this list. When that happens, follow these steps: 

On the site in question: 

  1. Go into System Options

  2. Click Customise Options

  3. Scroll down to the option "IsNewUIEnabled"

  4. This will be set to False if the New UI is not active.

  5. Click the link to open the option and when the page loads, click the box "New Value DB"

  6. Click Save

  7. When the page returns to the Customise Options menu, click Sync All

  8. The new UI will be active. 

 

Enabling the New UI Per User

  1. After following the steps above contact engineering to ask them to enable the manual opt in (https://shelterbuddy.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SB/pages/2548498450 )

  2. Engineers will then let you know when this is completed

 

Once that is complete go to this document: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DMFdhdTrGPgVWwyvuZinrmQJI8dlebvv9acbfdC4Q_Q/edit#gid=0

Update at minimum the following fields: 

  • Organization

  • Country

  • MVP Beta Start Date

The engineers like to upgrade these Beta sites first to minimise downtime for them.
